Nishat Hotel, Lahore: a story told in frames

Sheraz and Nawal's nikah at Nishat Hotel, Lahore was dressed almost entirely in white: crystal chandeliers, hanging floral ceilings and a tall column of flowers between bride and groom. Nawal wore a ruffled gown and a pearl-beaded veil and carried white roses. We worked softly around the ceremony, photographing through floral curtains and in chandelier light so the room felt as calm in the photographs as it did in person. Details mattered too, from the favour boxes to the feather quill he signed the nikah register with. Legacy coverage, led personally by Arfa and Usman.
