Barood Khana Haveli, Lahore: a story told in frames

Ahmed and Laraib's nikah unfolded in the courtyard of Barood Khana Haveli, inside Lahore's walled city, among red rose-wrapped branches, marigold curtains and a fountain filled with petals. We photographed the haveli as carefully as the couple: carved wooden arches, red sandstone jali screens, the bride's sequined veil catching evening light. Between the baraat arrival and the vows came smaller moments, a shared laugh in the courtyard and both of them beneath one veil. Legacy coverage, led personally by Arfa and Usman.
